Just extracted the h.264 video (no audio) in quicktime pro to see if that would work and it did. Compared the audio of it to a mp4 that I have that was working, and it had a different audio sample rate. It seems the 360 prefers 44.100 kHz to 48. Converted the 44.1 to 48 and now I can watch proper h.264 movs. Hooray!
