I have a first gen MacBook Pro Core Duo 2.16 and the firmware version on its Matshita UJ-857 drive is HAEA. Therefore the 2.1 update reported that "no updateable devices were found" and shut down.
Anyone else run into this? Did I miss a previous update?
I had the same problem and my drive stopped responding. Any suggestions?
If your drive stopped responding and you've done the usual things to try to get the machine back up and running, then take your machine it to AppleCare, assuming it's still under warranty.
and what if its no longer under warranty cover? can anyone help?
is there somewhere you can reload the firwmare update to an older or newer version?
Great post thhanks
